A 19-year-old whose survival as a newborn was officially recognised by the Vatican as a miracle is now facing serious criminal allegations in the United States.
Tyquan Johnson, whose birth was recognised by Pope Leo XIV last year as a miracle attributed to Spanish priest Salvador Valera Parra in the sainthood process, has been arrested in Virginia over a double shooting in Rhode Island.
Police say Johnson was involved in a July 19 shooting that left two men, aged 22 and 25, with life-threatening gunshot wounds.
He is wanted on charges including assault with a firearm and discharging a firearm in a compact area
