Kitutu Chache South MP Anthony Kibagendi has broken his silence over claims that Gusii MPs aligned with the Linda Mwananchi movement have abandoned Dr Fred Matiang'i.
Kibagendi dismissed the claims, insisting that the leaders remain firmly behind Matiang'i and that suggestions to the contrary are misleading.
He also condemned the attacks directed at Senator Richard Onyonka over his support for Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna's presidential ambitions, describing the criticism as unfair and demeaning.
According to Kibagendi, no leaders have sacrificed more for Matiang'i's political journey than Senator Richard Onyonka, Kitutu Masaba MP Clive Gisairo, Bomachoge Borabu MP Obadiah Barongo, Nyamira Senator Okong'o Omogeni, and Borabu MP Patrick Osero.
He further revealed that Matiang'i and Sifuna remain in regular communication, adding that both Matiang'i and Senator Okong'o Omogeni contributed fuel to support Sifuna's recent Linda Mwananchi rallies in Bungoma and Trans Nzoia counties.
